According to a survey conducted by MMS, 57% of physicians prefer to hear about a pharma or med device product via email. The survey found that physicians check their email frequently throughout the day. They also don’t seem to mind whether emails arrive to their personal or work inboxes. Even more compelling, 89% of physicians said emails with product information are more impactful than digital ads on a website.
These findings clearly show that marketers have plenty of opportunities to reach physicians through email marketing. So if you’re not leveraging email marketing as part of your overall marketing plan, this survey confirms it’s worth revisiting.
